Nontechnical Description
A large and historically-important collection with about 10,000,000 zoological specimens, the oldest dating from 18th. century. Modern scientific effort at the museum is conetrated on molluscs, reptiles and amphibians.
Technical Description
The Museum beetle collection is one of the largest in Sweden and almost all the Swedish species of beetles are represented. The Museum houses the Olof Fåhraei and the Emil Sandin collections from the beginning of 19th and 20th. century, respectively.
Taxonomic Scope
Principally Coleoptera.
