Nontechnical Description
This is the herpetology collection of the Swedish Museum of Natural History, including organisms classified traditionally as amphibians or reptiles. The collection is mainly preserved in ethanol and comprises about 20 000 objects. It is only partly digitized and thus of limited availability. Strong areas include Sweden, South America, and Asia. There are numerous specimens from Seba and Museum Adolphi Friderici, which are types of species described by Linnaeus.
