Nontechnical Description
This collection contains approximately 10 000 images, primarily of live plants, although a few other organisms are represented. There are also a number of images of North American ecoregions.
Technical Description
The live plant images are organized by standard views (Vulpina 7:16-30). Metadata includes the time and date the image was taken. The collection is currently being updated to include geolocation and organization by individual organisms in addition to species.
Taxonomic Scope
Primarily angiosperms and gymnosperms with a few representatives of other plant and animal groups.
Geographic Scope
Geographic coverage is primarily the United States for woody plants and the southeastern U.S. for herbs.
