UBC Botanical Garden contains plant collections from around the world organized into a temperate Asian garden, an alpine garden with worldwide representation, a coastal British Columbia garden, an eastern North American Carolinian Forest garden, a medicinal (physic) garden, a food garden, and a Garry oak meadow and woodland garden.
Technical Description
Plants of documented wild origin are emphasized in UBC Botanical Garden, with high percentages (>60%) in its temperate Asian woody plants and temperate eastern North American woody plants, and >95% in its Garry oak meadow and woodland collections. Moderate percentages (20%-40%) of documented wild origin accessions are present in its worldwide alpine herbaceous collections and British Columbia coastal plant collections.
