In both insect and arachnid (s.l.) collections, there is an emphasis is on the New South Wales fauna, although there are significant holdings from other states and regions.
Technical Description
A recent estimate of the number of type specimens held in the collection listed about 3,500 primary types, and an additional circa 6,000 secondary types.

All orders of Insecta, Arachnida, Diplopoda, Chilopoda, Onychophora, Pauropoda, Symphyla, and Tardigrada.
